Hi Everyone!

My name is Kara and I’m a traditional and digital illustrator! I’m from Dallas, Texas but have made my way on down to Georgetown! I’m livin’ that half-country, half-city life with my husband of 13 years, 5-year-old kiddo, and our rescue dog, Jessi Colter. We love it!

I have a BFA in Art and Technology and a 2D Animation Degree but I continue to educate myself as I believe all artists do with online tutorials and workshops throughout each year.

I freelance as the Lead Illustrator at a boutique design firm in Austin, Pink Champagne Designs, as well as for many other clients all over the country.

Outside of the design firm, I freelance with production companies to produce illustrations for animations. I’ve been lucky enough to work with clients such as Alcon, The Humane Society, and Indeed producing multiple commercial videos for each company, resulting in happy returning clients!

I then do commissions for communities I’m involved with all over the nation!

My focus and intentions are to illustrate stories with elements of kindness and compassion while encouraging and nurturing hope, faith, imagination, and critical thinking!
